Meta fined €390m over use of information for focused adverts


The DPC investigation was sparked by complaints made in 2018 by privateness campaigner Max Schrems, on behalf of two customers in Austria and Belgium. The criticism was introduced simply because the EU’s new knowledge and privateness legislation, the Basic Knowledge Safety Regulation (GDPR), got here into operation.
